Objective

Sydney will only become more culturally diverse. Our city is set to grow from 3.5 to 7 million by 2050 in a region, which already holds some of Australia’s most culturally diverse communities.

  • How can we equip staff to serve our culturally diverse clients and community?
  • How can we support staff in working productively in their multicultural team?
  • How will we ensure equitable access, inclusiveness and harmony?

Cultural Intelligence (CQ) is key to preparing councils, local governments and their staff for productive multiculturalism. It helps and motivates staff to read and recognise culture, beyond stereotypes, and to develop practices and strategies for bridging cultural gaps.
